The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Nigeria, has announced its 7th Valedictory Lecture as the university continues to celebrate academic excellence, scholarship, leadership and legacy.
The lecture, organised by the University, is themed “Walking the FUTO Journey: A Physicist’s Reflections on Scholarship, Leadership, Legacy and Emerging Opportunities.”
The lecture will be delivered by Professor Francis Chukwuemeka Eze, Professor of Physics and the Seventh Substantive Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
The event is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 12:00 noon.
The venue for the lecture is the Prof. C. O. E. Onwuliri Conference Hall, FUTO.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ikechukwu N. S. Dozie, cordially invites members of the university community and the general public to the event.
