What is Benue State University’s Cut-Off Mark For 2026/2027?

The cut-off mark for admission into the BSU is 150 and above. This means that all candidates are expected to score at least 150 in the UTME examinations to qualify for admission. Only candidates who can achieve this score or more will be admitted to study the many courses offered by BSU.

It is worthy of note that this is just the general cut-off mark and it does not apply to all departments and courses. Some courses require candidates to achieve higher scores.

For instance, candidates applying to the Faculties of Arts, Education, Environmental Sciences, Management Sciences, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, and Industrial Studies must achieve a score of 150 or above to qualify. On the other hand, if you are considering courses in the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies or a degree in Human Anatomy or Human Physiology, you need to score at least 180.

A minimum score of 200 is required for candidates aiming to study Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or Radiography and Radiation Science. The highest cut-off mark of 220 is set for courses like Medicine and Surgery, Pharmacy), Law, and all programs under the Faculty of Architecture.

BSUM Admission Requirements For 2026/2027

In addition to meeting the required cut-off marks, candidates who are seeking undergraduate admission at Benue State University are expected to meet these additional requirements.

  • Candidates who want to apply via the UTME track are required to possess a minimum of five credit passes in O’level examinations. These credits must include English Language and Mathematics. These grades should be achieved in not more than two sittings.
  • Candidates who want to apply through direct entry must also have five O’level credits. They must also have an Upper Credit in a National Diploma (ND) program, a merit grade in the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) or National Certificate in Education (NCE), or ‘A’ Level qualifications in relevant subjects.
