Lagos State University of Science and Technology, LASUSTECH, has announced a mop-up exercise for State of Origin Verification, SOVE, for the 2026/2027 admission process.

The notice affects remaining candidates who indicated Lagos State as their state of origin and chose LASUSTECH as their first-choice university during the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination conducted by JAMB or through the JAMB Direct Entry application.
Who is eligible for the LASUSTECH SOVE mop-up exercise?
Only candidates of Lagos State origin are eligible for the screening exercise.
Candidates in this category must also have chosen LASUSTECH as their first-choice university in the 2026 UTME or JAMB Direct Entry application and UTME candidates must have scored 195 and above in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
When will LASUSTECH SOVE registration start and end?
The registration for the LASUSTECH State of Origin Verification mop-up screening exercise will start on Monday, 6 July 2026.
The registration will end at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, 22 July 2026.
When and where will the screening interview hold?
The screening interview for eligible candidates will hold on Thursday, 23 July 2026.
The interview will begin from 9:00 am at the 500-seat capacity Agric Auditorium, Ikorodu.

How much is the LASUSTECH SOVE application fee?
Interested candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of N10,000.00, Ten Thousand Naira only.
The payment must be made through the LASUSTECH SOVE official portal, as the University strictly warns candidates against making any payment outside the designated platform.
What should candidates know before payment?
Candidates are advised to use only the official LASUSTECH SOVE portal for payment and registration.
Any applicant who pays money to any individual, other account or through any other means aside from the stated portal does so to their disadvantage.
Why is SOVE clearance required?
Candidates of Lagos State origin are expected to be cleared by the State of Origin Verification Committee, SOVC, before they can process their Post UTME screening forms.
This means eligible candidates in this category should complete the SOVE process within the approved mop-up period.
What should remaining candidates do?
Remaining eligible candidates are advised to complete the registration before 12:00 noon on Wednesday, 22 July 2026.
They are also expected to attend the screening interview on Thursday, 23 July 2026, from 9:00 am at the 500-seat capacity Agric Auditorium, Ikorodu.
