LASU New Admission List 2026/2027 Academic Session

Lagos State University has released its admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session and candidates who applied for undergraduate admission can now check whether provisional admission has been offered.

The admission list covers candidates offered places in LASU degree programmes. Admission status can be checked through the LASU admission screening portal and JAMB Central Admissions Processing System, commonly known as JAMB CAPS.

Candidates who receive an offer will be required to respond to the admission decision. After accepting the offer, the JAMB admission letter can be printed and kept with other admission records.

LASU 2026/2027 Admission List Is Out

The LASU admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session is now available to candidates who selected the university and completed the required admission process.

A successful admission status means that provisional admission has been offered into a degree programme. Candidates can check the university portal for the status displayed on their applicant dashboard and can also check JAMB CAPS for the admission record held by JAMB.

LASU Admission Status on the University Portal

Candidates can check their status through the LASU admission screening portal.

The checking process is as follows:

1. Candidates should open the LASU admission screening portal.
2. The JAMB registration number should be entered in uppercase letters.
3. The candidate’s surname should be entered in the space provided.
4. The submit button should be selected to open the applicant dashboard.
5. The admission status displayed on the dashboard can then be checked.

The JAMB registration number should be entered correctly, while the surname should match the details used during the admission application. The LASU portal requires these two details for access.

LASU Admission Status on JAMB CAPS

Candidates can also check LASU admission status through JAMB CAPS.

The process requires access to the candidate’s JAMB account:

1. Candidates should visit the JAMB E-Facility portal.
2. The JAMB username and password should be used to sign in.
3. The admission section should be opened and “Check Admission Status” selected.
4. “Access My CAPS” should then be selected.
5. The “Admission Status” section should be opened.
6. The candidate can check whether LASU has offered provisional admission.

JAMB CAPS Admission Status Messages

The admission section may show an admission offer or a pending status. Each message indicates the position currently recorded on the candidate’s profile.

Admission Offered

“Admission Offered” means LASU has offered the candidate provisional admission.

The candidate should review the offer before responding. A candidate who wants the place should accept the admission, while a candidate who does not want the place should reject it.

Admission Still in Progress

“Admission Still in Progress” means the admission decision has not been completed on the candidate’s JAMB CAPS profile.

The candidate can continue checking the portal for a later update. The status may change after further admission processing.

Not Admitted

“Not Admitted” means an admission offer is not currently displayed on the candidate’s profile.

Candidates with this status can check again later for any change. Both the LASU portal and JAMB CAPS can be checked while admission processing continues.

Steps for Candidates Offered Admission

A candidate who receives an admission offer should complete the acceptance process before moving to the admission letter stage.

The candidate should first accept or reject the offer. An accepted offer can then be followed by printing the official JAMB admission letter.

Copies of the admission records should be kept for later use.

Accepting or Rejecting the LASU Admission Offer

Candidates who receive an admission offer should send either ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019.

The message should be sent from the phone number used during JAMB registration. A candidate who intends to take the offered place should send ACCEPT, while a candidate who does not intend to take it should send REJECT.

The response should be checked carefully before it is sent because it records the candidate’s decision on the admission offer.

Printing the JAMB Admission Letter

After an admission offer has been accepted, the candidate should print the official JAMB admission letter.

The printed admission letter should be kept with the candidate’s other admission records.

Pending LASU Admission Status

Candidates whose status shows “Admission Still in Progress” or “Not Admitted” can continue checking both the LASU admission portal and JAMB CAPS.

An admission status may be updated later. Candidates should use the correct JAMB login details and confirm that the admission section of CAPS is being checked.

The LASU portal can also be revisited with the candidate’s JAMB registration number entered in uppercase and the surname used during the application.

Admission status is available through JAMB CAPS, while the LASU admission screening portal can also show the information available on the university applicant dashboard.

Checking both platforms allows a candidate to see the admission information displayed by LASU and the admission record shown on JAMB CAPS.
