What Is the FCET Asaba Pre-NCE Programme?
The Pre-NCE programme is a one-year preparatory course for candidates with four-credit entry qualifications.
Candidates admitted into the programme will be prepared for movement into the full-time NCE programme, subject to meeting the required progression condition.
What UTME Score Will Be Needed for NCE I Entry?
Students in the Pre-NCE programme will be required to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
They must score at least 100 in UTME before they can qualify for entry into the first year of the NCE programme, known as NCE I.
Who Can Apply for FCET Asaba Pre-NCE Admission?
Candidates seeking admission into the Pre-NCE programme must meet at least one of the stated conditions.
The admission routes are:
- Admission requirements relevant to the intended course, as stated for the full-time NCE programme
- Grade II Teacher’s Certificate with passes in all subjects, plus at least five years of post-qualification experience

How Can Candidates Apply for FCET Asaba Pre-NCE Admission?
Candidates are to pay the non-refundable N4,000 application fee through the Bursary Office.
After payment, candidates should take the blue receipt to the Degree Unit to obtain the admission form.
The application process will be completed as follows:
- Pay N4,000 through a bank transaction via the Bursary Office.
- Collect the blue receipt after payment.
- Visit the Degree Unit with the blue receipt.
- Obtain the Pre-NCE admission form.
- Fill the form with correct personal and academic details.
- Submit the completed form to the Office of the Deputy Registrar (Admissions).
Candidates should keep the blue receipt safe, since it will be needed before the form can be collected.
When Is the Submission Deadline?
All completed admission forms must be returned to the Office of the Deputy Registrar (Admissions) at Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba.
The forms must be submitted before the matriculation ceremony for the 2026/2027 academic session.
