Federal University of Technology, Minna, FUTMINNA, has released details for the 2026/2027 Registration and Pre-Admission Screening Exercise, UPASE, for 2026 UTME candidates.

The notice covers admission requirements for newly approved degree programmes across selected schools and candidates are expected to check the O’Level subjects, UTME subjects and JAMB cut-off mark for their chosen course before starting the screening registration.

Which Newly Approved FUTMINNA Programmes Are Available?

The newly approved programmes are listed under four schools.

They are:

  • Artificial Intelligence, AIN
  • Intelligence and Security Studies, ISS
  • Nuclear Engineering, NCE
  • Mining Engineering, MNE
  • Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, WSH
  • Nuclear Science, NCS

Each programme has its own subject requirements and cut-off mark, so candidates should check the exact details before selecting a course.

Artificial Intelligence, AIN

Candidates seeking admission into Artificial Intelligence must have the required O’Level subjects, UTME subjects and cut-off mark listed below.

How Will Candidates Apply for FUTMINNA UPASE?

Candidates will register for the University Pre-Admission Screening Exercise through the FUTMINNA e-portal.

The application process should be followed in this order:

  1. Visit the FUTMINNA UPASE portal.
  2. Check the departmental requirements for the chosen course.
  3. Confirm that the JAMB subject combination and O’Level credits match the course requirements.
  4. Enter the JAMB Registration Number and JAMB score in the screening login section.
  5. Validate first-choice status and the required cut-off mark.
  6. Check the profile details shown on the portal.
  7. Go to the payment tab and generate a Remita Retrieval Reference, RRR, invoice.
  8. Pay the non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 only.
  9. Re-login to the e-portal after payment confirmation.
  10. Complete the online registration form with correct personal and contact details.
  11. Enter verified O’Level grades from WAECNECONABTEB.
  12. Review all entries before final submission.
  13. Download and print the FUTMINNA UPASE Registration Slip.

How Can the Screening Fee Be Paid?

The screening fee is ₦2,000 only and it is non-refundable.

Payment can be made online with a debit card, through internet banking or at any commercial bank branch after the Remita slip has been generated.

What Should Candidates Do About O’Level Results?

Candidates should enter their verified O’Level grades exactly as they appear on their records.

WAEC, NECO and NABTEB are listed in the notice and candidates awaiting results may continue with the process but must update the portal once their results are released.

All entries should match the details uploaded to the candidate’s JAMB CAPS record.

What Should Be Printed After Registration?

Candidates should print the official FUTMINNA UPASE Registration Slip after final submission.

The slip should be kept for future physical clearance exercises.
