Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates and the listed programmes will be offered through Open and Distance Learning mode.

How much is the UNILAG DLI application fee?
The UNILAG DLI application fee is ₦20,000 only.
Applicants may pay online through the UNILAG application portal or print the payment advice with Remita number and pay at any commercial bank.
Who can apply for UNILAG DLI admission?
Applicants must meet the minimum entry requirements for the selected entry year.
Every applicant must have five credits in SSCE, GCE or NECO O’Level, including English Language and Mathematics and the result must be from not more than two sittings.
What are the requirements for Year Two admission?
Applicants seeking admission into Year Two should possess any of the listed qualifications in relevant subjects.
Accepted qualifications are:
- NCE
- ND, with minimum of Lower Credit
- JUPEB
- IJMB
- GCE A’ Levels
What are the requirements for Year Three admission?
Applicants seeking admission into Year Three should possess any of the listed qualifications and the required NYSC evidence.
Accepted qualifications are:
- HND, with minimum of Lower Credit
- Bachelor’s degree, with minimum of Third Class
- Evidence of NYSC Discharge Certificate, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate
Applicants with relevant professional qualifications may also apply for Year Three admission.

Applicants seeking Year Three admission with relevant professional qualifications are eligible to apply.
The accepted professional qualifications listed are:
- ICAN ACA
- ACIB
- ANAN
- ACCA
- ACMA
- ACIS CM
- CIBN
- ANACIA
Can applicants awaiting results apply?
Applicants awaiting results are not eligible to apply for UNILAG DLI admission.
This means each applicant should have the required result before submitting the form.
What is the age requirement for UNILAG DLI admission?
Applicants for Distance Learning Institute programmes should not be less than 16 years of age by 31 October 2026.
Candidates below the stated age by that date do not meet the age requirement listed for the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
Is UTME required for UNILAG DLI admission?

Stage 1: How can applicants complete the UNILAG DLI application?
Applicants should complete the UNILAG DLI online application through the university application portal.
- Visit the UNILAG application portal.
- Click “Start Fresh Application”.
- Select Distance Learning Institute as the application type.
- Provide surname, first name, middle name, JAMB registration number, mobile number and email address.
- Click “Pay Now” to pay the ₦20,000 application fee online or print the payment advice with Remita number and pay at any commercial bank.
- Return to the application portal after payment.
- Click “Continue Application”.
- Enter the payment reference number and surname in lowercase as password.
- Complete all required details and upload the necessary documents.
- Complete the application form, submit online and print a copy.
Candidates may save their application form for later editing before final submission.
What is the deadline for UNILAG DLI application?
All completed application forms must be submitted online on or before 31 December 2026.
