The screening is for candidates who applied for admission into the University’s degree programmes, made GSU their first choice on the JAMB portal and met the required UTME or Direct Entry conditions.

When Will GSU Post UTME Registration Start And End?

GSU Post UTME and Direct Entry online registration will run from Wednesday, 1 July 2026 to Friday, 31 July 2026.

Candidates who meet the stated requirements are expected to complete their registration within this period, because the screening form is tied to the 2026/2027 undergraduate admission exercise.

Who Is Eligible For GSU Post UTME Screening?

Candidates are eligible for the GSU Post UTME screening if they made Gombe State University their first choice on the JAMB portal and scored the required UTME mark for their chosen programme.

The required mark depends on the course.

Candidates should check the course they applied for before making payment, because each programme has its own stated score requirement.

Who Is Eligible For GSU Direct Entry Screening?

Direct Entry candidates with NCE, IJMB, Advanced Level GCE or Diploma may apply for the screening exercise.

The qualification must be in the same course being applied for, as stated by the University.

This means a candidate’s Direct Entry qualification should match the proposed degree course; for example, a Diploma or related qualification should support the same field listed on the admission application.

How Much Is GSU Post UTME/DE Screening Fee?

Eligible candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable screening charge of Two Thousand Naira, ₦2,000 only.

The payment will be made through the University’s online screening portal.

How Can Candidates Register For GSU Post UTME/DE Screening?

Candidates should visit the GSU online screening portal through the GSU admission screening portal.

The registration process should be completed as follows:

  1. Enter the JAMB Registration Number and click “Get Details”.
  2. Pay the screening fee online using ATM, debit card, credit card, bank transfer, USSD or Visa QR.
  3. Fill the form to create a UTME/DE screening account.
  4. Click “Register”.
  5. Check the candidate details displayed on the portal.
  6. Click “Generate Data Form”.
  7. Download or print the generated PDF file.

The generated PDF will contain two pages and candidates should handle both pages as part of the screening process.

What Is Inside The Generated GSU Screening PDF?

The PDF file generated after registration will have two pages.

  • Page 1 will contain the candidate’s registration details.
  • Page 2 will serve as the candidate’s Post UTME Test, CBT, Exam Card.

Candidates should print the two pages after completing the online registration.

What Should Candidates Take For Physical Screening?

Candidates should attach photocopies of all credentials to Page 1 of the printed PDF and take them to the department applied to for physical screening.

Original copies of the credentials should also be taken along for checking.

The physical screening should be done immediately after online registration, as stated in the notice.

What Details Cannot Be Changed After Registration And Screening?

GSU has stated that changes to state of origin, Local Government Area and date of birth will not be accepted after registration and screening.

Candidates should check these details carefully before final submission.
