The MOUAU Admission List for the 2026/2027 academic session is now available. The names of candidates offered provisional admission into degree programmes at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike are now published and applicants can currently confirm their admission status through JAMB CAPS.
For candidates who have been waiting for a decision, the admission status shown on CAPS is the key point to check. Each CAPS response has a specific meaning.
MOUAU Admission Status Is Available on JAMB CAPS
MOUAU admission status is currently accessible only through JAMB CAPS. Applicants can use the JAMB platform to see whether an admission offer has been made.
Steps for Checking the MOUAU Admission List
Applicants should follow this sequence:
- Applicants should open the JAMB EFacility portal.
- They should sign in with their JAMB username and password.
- They should scroll to Check Admission Status and select it.
- They should choose Access my CAPS.
- They should open Admission Status to see whether MOUAU has offered admission.
JAMB CAPS Admission Status Meanings
JAMB CAPS may display one of five responses. Each response has a different meaning.
- Admission Offered: JAMB has approved the admission. The candidate can proceed to accept or reject the offer on CAPS.
- Admission in Progress (AIP): The university has reviewed the application and recommended the candidate for admission. The recommendation is awaiting approval by the university head, followed by JAMB’s final review.
- Recommended: The university has considered the candidate, while JAMB still needs to review the application against the required criteria.
- Not Admitted: The candidate has not been considered or selected yet. The admission list may not have been released or the application may still be pending review.
- Pending: The application remains under review; no decision has been made.
How Offered Candidates Are to Accept or Reject Admission
Candidates offered admission are to accept or reject the offer through BIOMETRICS at an approved JAMB CBT Centre or by SMS. For SMS, the candidate should send ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019 from the phone number registered with JAMB.
The registered line must have up to N50 on its main account. JAMB does not charge this transaction from borrowed airtime or Xtra Credit.
After acceptance, the candidate can print the JAMB admission letter.
Phone Users May Need Desktop Mode
Some phone users may see only the CAPS welcome message, with no Admission Status option. Chrome users can open the browser menu and choose Request desktop site. The complete CAPS page should then display.
This setting is the stated way to view the full CAPS page on a phone.
Next Step for Admitted Candidates
Candidates whose CAPS status shows Admission Offered should complete the stated acceptance process. Once acceptance is complete, the JAMB admission letter can be printed through the linked service.
