UNIBEN New Acceptance Fee Payment and Clearance 2026/2027

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has opened acceptance processing for newly admitted candidates for the 2026/2027 academic session, successful applicants are expected to confirm their admission status, complete the prescribed acceptance fee payment and submit their clearance through the university portal.

The acceptance fee deadline is Monday, 21 September 2026.

UNIBEN Acceptance Fee for 2026/2027

The prescribed UNIBEN acceptance fee depends on the candidate’s study category and payment will form part of the required admission acceptance process.

The approved amounts are:

• Science/Medical: ₦122,820
• Non-Science: ₦115,670

Candidates are expected to complete the payment within the stated period. The university has set Monday, 21 September 2026 as the deadline.

JAMB CAPS Acceptance Comes Before UNIBEN Payment

Candidates who have received admission offers are expected to accept them on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System if that stage has not already been completed.

JAMB CAPS acceptance is a prerequisite for the later university admission process, so the candidate’s JAMB admission offer should be accepted before the UNIBEN acceptance requirements are completed.

This stage comes first.

UNIBEN Portal Login and Acceptance Fee Payment

After the JAMB CAPS acceptance stage is complete, candidates can use the official UNIBEN admission portal to confirm their admission status and proceed with payment of the prescribed acceptance fee.

The university’s approved payment platform should be used for the transaction. Payment through an unapproved channel may leave the required university process incomplete.

Candidates should therefore keep the payment process within the approved university channel.

UNIBEN Acceptance Fee Deadline Is 21 September 2026

Monday, 21 September 2026 is the deadline for payment of the UNIBEN acceptance fee for the 2026/2027 academic session and the stated date is four weeks from the date the payment portal was opened.

Candidates are expected to complete payment on or before that date.

Failure to pay within the prescribed period may lead to withdrawal of the admission offer, so candidates with confirmed admission should take account of the deadline while completing the acceptance process.

Acceptance Fee Payment Records Will Be Required

Candidates should retain their acceptance fee payment receipts after payment, together with other relevant documents required for later admission stages.

These records will be required during clearance and registration.

Keeping the payment evidence available also means the required records can be presented when the next stages are due, rather than being sought again after payment has been completed.

Successful candidates are expected to submit their clearance for approval through the university portal as part of the admission process.
