The North East Development Commission (NEDC) wishes to inform the general public, prospective applicants and all stakeholders that the information currently circulating regarding an alleged NEDC Education Support Fund for MSc Students, including the stated requirements and purported submission location at the NEDC Office, Polo, Maiduguri, is FALSE AND UNAUTHORISED.
The Commission is not currently receiving applications for any such MSc Education Support Fund as stated in the circulating message.
Members of the public are therefore advised to disregard the information completely and refrain from submitting personal documents, including NIN slips, admission letters, identity cards or indigene certificates, to individuals or locations claiming to be acting on behalf of NEDC in connection with the purported programme.
The Commission cautions the public to be vigilant against fraudulent schemes and unauthorized use of the name and identity of NEDC.
For authentic information on NEDC programmes, interventions and opportunities, members of the public should rely only on official NEDC communication channels and verified announcements from the Commission.
