The Rivers State Ministry of Education wishes to inform the general public that all Primary and Secondary Schools in the State will resume for the First Term of the 2026/2027 Academic Session on Monday, 7th September, 2026.
Accordingly, all public and private schools operating in the State are expected to commence academic and non-academic activities on the approved resumption date, and to operate strictly in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
All private schools are further required to adhere strictly to the Government-approved Academic Calendar for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
The general public, school proprietors, administrators, parents and guardians are enjoined to take note and comply accordingly.
