Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi has opened applications for admission into its postgraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session, with available study routes leading to Postgraduate Diploma, Master’s and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.

The online application portal opened at 7:00 am on Monday, 10 August 2026 and will close at 6:00 pm on Friday, 27 November 2026. Applicants are expected to meet the entry requirement for their chosen level, complete the online process and arrange the required academic transcript and referee submissions.
MOAUM Postgraduate Admission Period
Applications for the 2026/2027 postgraduate admission exercise are available online.
The application period is:
- Opening: 7:00 am, Monday, 10 August 2026
- Closing: 6:00 pm, Friday, 27 November 2026
Applicants are expected to complete the required online form and related submissions within this period.
MOAUM Postgraduate Programmes Covered
The admission exercise covers programmes leading to these awards:
- Postgraduate Diploma
- Master’s Degree
- Doctor of Philosophy Degree
Each level has separate academic entry conditions, while the general O’Level requirement also applies.
General O’Level Requirement
Applicants must first meet the relevant O’Level requirements for a first degree of Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University.
Applicants seeking admission under the Faculties of Sciences, Management and Environmental Science are required to have credit passes in English and Mathematics.
This basic requirement applies alongside the academic qualification required for the selected postgraduate level.
Postgraduate Diploma Admission Requirement
A candidate seeking admission into a Postgraduate Diploma programme must meet the stated O’Level requirement and possess either an HND or a first degree.
A first degree must be at least Third Class and may be from Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University or another university recognised by its Senate.
Master’s Degree Admission Requirement
A Master’s applicant must meet the general O’Level requirement and possess a relevant first degree with at least Second-Class Lower Division.
The stated minimum CGPA is 2.50.
The qualifying degree may be from Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University or another university recognised by its Senate.

PhD Admission Requirement
A PhD applicant must meet the general O’Level requirement and hold a good Master’s degree.
The minimum stated CGPA for the Master’s degree is 3.50.
The qualifying postgraduate degree may be from Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University or another university recognised by its Senate.
MOAUM Postgraduate Programme Duration
All postgraduate programmes begin with coursework.
Postgraduate Diploma programmes end with a project, Master’s programmes end with a dissertation and PhD programmes end with a thesis.
Postgraduate Diploma Duration
A Postgraduate Diploma programme has a minimum duration of one year and a maximum duration of two years.
Master’s Degree Duration
A full-time Master’s degree normally has a minimum duration of two academic years.
The maximum duration stated at the point of registration is three years.
Doctorate Degree Duration
A full-time Doctorate degree normally has a minimum duration of three academic years.
The maximum duration stated at the point of registration is six years.
MOAUM Postgraduate Application Fee
The postgraduate application fee is ₦20,000 and is non-refundable.
Applicants may pay online or take the printed e-payment form to the designated Fidelity Bank.
An e-payment record will be generated during the application process with a payment reference number and Application Number.
How To Apply For MOAUM Postgraduate Admission
Applications are available only through the online platform and candidates are to use the MOAUM postgraduate application portal.
The application sequence is:
- Visit the MOAUM postgraduate application portal.
- Click the application link.
- Open the Postgraduate School section.
- Click Start Application.
- Enter the applicant’s name and select the preferred programme.
- Submit the initial details.
- Use the generated e-payment information and Application Number for payment.
- Pay the non-refundable ₦20,000 fee online or at the designated Fidelity Bank with the printed e-payment form.
- Return to the portal after payment.
- Open Application, then select Postgraduate to complete the application form.
- Upload academic credentials and other relevant documents.
- Submit the completed application online.
- Print a hard copy of the completed form for reference.

Three Referees Are Required
Applicants are required to ensure that online reference forms are completed by three referees.
The referee requirement forms part of the postgraduate application process and should be completed alongside the other admission documents.
Relevant Documents Must Be Uploaded
Applications without the relevant uploaded documents will not be considered.
Applicants are expected to upload their academic credentials and any other relevant documents through the portal after completing the application payment.
The completed online form should also be printed for reference purposes.
Academic Transcripts Must Be Sent To The Postgraduate School
Applicants must request their former universities or other previous schools to send official academic transcripts to the Postgraduate School.

Applications without official academic transcripts will not be processed.
Application Forms Must Be Complete
Every part of the application form should contain the information requested.
An application with incomplete information will be treated as void, while the proposed course of study and area of specialisation, where applicable, should be stated clearly.
Applicants are also expected to make sure their former universities forward their official academic records to the Postgraduate School.
One Programme Is Allowed Per Applicant
A candidate may apply for admission into only one Degree or Diploma programme at a given time.
The selected course of study should therefore be stated clearly on the application form, including the proposed area of specialisation where one applies.
