Federal University of Technology, Babura, FUTB, has invited qualified candidates seeking undergraduate admission for the 2026/2027 academic session to register for its Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.

The application will be completed online.

Who Is Eligible for FUTB Post UTME/DE Screening?

Candidates seeking admission into FUTB must meet the entry conditions stated by the university, as the screening is for applicants who satisfy the UTME, Direct Entry and O’level requirements.

For UTME applicants, the minimum JAMB score is 150.

Direct Entry candidates must have a minimum of Lower Credit in National Diploma and Innovative Diploma, while IJMB candidates must have a minimum of 4 points in two subjects.

Candidates must also have at least five relevant credit passes in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, SSCE or its equivalent, at not more than two sittings.

English Language and Mathematics must be part of the five credits.

Which Courses May Offer Scholarship After Admission?

Applicants seeking admission into some science courses may get a scholarship after admission has been granted.

• B.Sc. Applied Geophysics
• B.Sc. Chemistry
• B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry
• B.Sc. Mathematics

When Will FUTB Post UTME/DE Registration Start and End?

Online application begins on Monday, 29 June 2026 and ends on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.

Candidates are advised to complete the form early, since the course page will show the application closing date and other details after eligibility has been checked.

How Will Candidates Apply for FUTB Post UTME/DE Screening?

Candidates will apply through the FUTB online application portal, using their JAMB registration number and a valid account on the portal.

How to Start the Application

1. Visit the FUTB online application portal.
2. Go to the course display table.
3. Enter the JAMB registration number in the space provided.
4. Check the eligibility status.
5. If eligible, the course will be displayed.
6. Select the “More information” button beside the course to view the course requirements.

The “More information” section will show the course requirements, application fee, duration, application closing date and session.

Candidates may proceed after checking these details.

How to Create an Account

Candidates without an existing account may sign up with Google or create an account manually.

For manual sign-up, the candidate should fill the form below the “Sign up with Google” button, then select “Create account”.

An activation code will be sent to the email inbox provided during sign-up.

The code should be entered in the boxes provided, then “Confirm” should be selected.

Candidates with an existing account may select “Login with Google”.

How to Complete the Form After Login

After account access has been completed, the candidate will be directed to the payment page.

Once payment is successful, a preview of the application will appear and the candidate should select “Proceed to Application Form”.

All empty fields should be completed across the sections provided, while pre-filled fields will remain uneditable.

To move from one section to another, the “Next” button should be selected.

The final stage is “preview and submit”.

Once the form has been submitted, the application will show successful submission.

How Can Candidates Check FUTB Payment Status?

Candidates can check payment status from the dashboard after making payment.

Beside the “All Applications” tab, the candidate should select “Transaction History”, where all transactions will be displayed.

The status of each transaction will appear under the “Status” column.

If the payment status is pending and the candidate has been debited, the “three-dotted” action button beside the payment should be selected, then “Check Status” should be chosen.

After that, the candidate should select the “Try again” button.

If payment is successful, the status will be updated.
