ATBU NDLEA drug screening has been set for Yelwa and Gubi campus clinics from 9 July 2026.

The Students’ Union Government, SUG, of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, ATBU, Bauchi, has informed the entire Balewites that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Bauchi State Command, has approved the commencement of drug screening services within the University campuses.
The approval followed a successful engagement with NDLEA, Bauchi State Command and the arrangement was made through the joint efforts of the Students’ Union Government, the University Management and the NDLEA.

When will ATBU NDLEA drug screening start?
NDLEA drug screening will start on Thursday, 9 July 2026.
Students who require the screening are advised to visit the designated University Clinic on their respective campuses from the stated date, as the service will be conducted within the University campuses.
Where will ATBU students complete the NDLEA drug screening?
The NDLEA drug screening exercise will be conducted at the following designated centres:
- University Clinic, Yelwa Campus
- University Clinic, Gubi Campus
Students are advised to use the University Clinic located on their own campus, as this arrangement is meant to make the screening process closer to students.
Who should take note of this ATBU notice?
This notice concerns ATBU students who require NDLEA drug screening.
Such students are expected to visit the designated University Clinic on their respective campuses and complete the exercise with the officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
Why has the screening been moved to the University campuses?
The screening service has been approved for the University campuses to make the process more accessible, convenient and student-friendly.
Students will no longer need to travel outside the University for the exercise; this makes the process easier to follow and better coordinated.
What is expected from ATBU students during the exercise?
The Students’ Union Government encourages all students who require NDLEA drug screening to take advantage of this arrangement.
Students are also expected to cooperate fully with the officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency throughout the exercise, as the screening will be conducted at the approved campus centres.
