End of the 2025/2026 Academic Session
The Second Semester Examination for full-time undergraduate programmes ended on Saturday, 15 August 2026, marking the end of the 2025/2026 academic session for most full-time undergraduate students.
Those students were expected to proceed on sessional holiday from the same date.
An exception applies to faculties that had prior Senate approval to conduct examinations beyond the period stated in the 2025/2026 Academic Calendar. Students in those faculties will follow the approved examination arrangements.
New Students’ Clearance and Registration
Clearance and registration for newly admitted students will begin on 5 October 2026, the approved commencement date for the 2026/2027 academic session.

New students should therefore follow official updates connected with clearance, registration and the start of academic activities.
Returning Students’ Resumption
Returning students will resume two weeks after the commencement of the 2026/2027 academic session.

The Dean of Students’ Affairs will provide the required information and guidelines concerning vacation of the Halls of Residence for the outgoing session.
